Johnathan brings 25 years' experience in drug development. He has worked with biotechs, large pharma companies, and CROs to bring innovative therapeutics to market. Additionally, he has served as an expert advisor for some of the largest transformative change programs in the industry, acting as a member of the life sciences leadership teams for top tier consulting firms.
Johnathan works with clients to:
● Create solutions in pharma development that accelerate and extend the availability of innovative therapeutic options for patients.
● Lead teams to deliver transformative change in biopharma operations and therapeutic asset development to enhance productivity, reduce costs and risks, and accelerate time to market.
● Develop and roll out bespoke technology solutions, operations innovations in pharma R&D, and new operating models.
Johnathan’s advisory approach is informed by his direct, in-house experience working in biopharma development. His background includes translational medicine, development operations, clinical outsourcing, product lifecycle management, acquisition due diligence and PMI, and Phase I–IV product development. This spans a range of therapeutic areas (TAs), including immunotherapy, anti-infectives, vaccines, and oncology.
Previously, he led European clinical operations for the Alzheimer’s immunotherapy program at an EU-headquartered biotech. He also served as the lifecycle program manager at a large biopharma company for marketed assets with annual global sales of over $2Bn and ongoing development activity.
His current area of interest is the ongoing AI-enabled transformation of drug development. He focuses on redesigning workflows to safely leverage this technology, with the goal of greater patient access to innovative medicines.
Johnathan holds an MSc in Molecular Medicine from Trinity College Dublin and an MBA from Bayes Business School, London.
